1. Company Overview
CoinsFlip specializes in the acquisition, evaluation, brokerage, and resale of numismatic items, including coins, banknotes, precious metal collectibles, and related assets.
By accessing our website or engaging in business with CoinsFlip, clients agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
2. Professional Evaluations
CoinsFlip provides professional numismatic evaluations based on recognized industry standards, including market demand, rarity, condition, certification status, and recent comparable sales.
All evaluations represent professional opinions at the time issued and may fluctuate according to market conditions.
Evaluations do not constitute guaranteed resale values unless confirmed through a written purchase or consignment agreement.
3. Purchase of Collections
CoinsFlip may offer to purchase collections outright following examination and authentication.
Upon acceptance of a purchase offer:

ownership transfers to CoinsFlip upon payment issuance;

transactions become final unless otherwise agreed in writing.
CoinsFlip reserves the right to refuse any transaction at its sole discretion.
4. Consignment & Brokerage Services
Clients may elect to consign items to CoinsFlip for resale through its professional dealer network, private clients, or online marketplaces.
Under consignment agreements:

CoinsFlip acts as intermediary seller;

sale timelines may vary depending on market demand;

final selling prices cannot be guaranteed.
Consignment terms, commissions, and settlement timelines are defined individually in written agreements.
5. Sale of Numismatic Items
CoinsFlip offers certified and non-certified numismatic material for resale.
While authenticity is guaranteed, grading opinions may vary between independent grading services and market participants.
All sales are considered final unless materially misrepresented.
6. Authentication & Verification
All items handled by CoinsFlip are subject to authentication procedures.
CoinsFlip reserves the right to:

submit items to third-party grading services;

delay transactions pending verification;

cancel transactions involving counterfeit or altered material.
7. Shipping & Risk Transfer
Shipping arrangements must follow CoinsFlip instructions to ensure insurance eligibility.
Risk transfers:

from client to CoinsFlip upon confirmed delivery;

from CoinsFlip to buyer upon carrier acceptance of shipment.
CoinsFlip is not liable for carrier delays or force majeure events.
8. Payments & Settlement
Payments may be issued via:

Settlement timelines vary depending on transaction type, verification requirements, or resale completion in consignment situations.
9. Market Risk Disclosure

CoinsFlip cannot guarantee future market performance or resale values.
10. Client Representations
Clients affirm that:

they are lawful owners of submitted items;

items are free of liens or ownership disputes;

all information provided is accurate.
CoinsFlip reserves the right to request proof of ownership when necessary.
11. Limitation of Liability
CoinsFlip’s liability shall be limited to the agreed transaction value of items under written agreement.
CoinsFlip shall not be liable for indirect losses, market depreciation, or speculative expectations.
12. Privacy & Confidential Transactions
CoinsFlip maintains strict confidentiality regarding client identities, inherited collections, estate matters, and transaction values.
Information is disclosed only when legally required.

All items sold by CoinsFlip are guaranteed authentic and accurately described to the best of our professional knowledge.
If an item received is incorrect, damaged during shipping, or materially different from its description, clients must contact us within 14 days of delivery at laurent@coinsflip.ca . CoinsFlip will review the situation and, where applicable, provide return shipping instructions.
Eligible items may be replaced or refunded upon receipt and inspection of the returned product.
Returned items must:

remain in their original condition;
-
be complete and unaltered;
-
include original holders, packaging, and proof of purchase.
CoinsFlip does not accept returns on:

items that have been removed from protective holders;
-
items that have been cleaned, altered, or mishandled after delivery;
-
items clearly sold “as is” or identified as final sale.
Due to the collectible nature of numismatic material, minor toning, natural aging, or market-standard imperfections do not constitute defects.
Returns requested for reasons other than error or damage may be accepted at CoinsFlip’s discretion. In such cases, return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the client and a reasonable restocking fee may apply.
CoinsFlip is not responsible for returned packages lost or damaged in transit. Clients are responsible for securely packaging and insuring return shipments.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Returns will not be accepted beyond 14 days from confirmed delivery.
Taxes – CoinsFlip.ca
Applicable sales taxes are charged in accordance with Canadian federal and provincial tax regulations based on the delivery destination of purchased items.
For orders delivered within Canada, applicable taxes may include GST, HST, or QST depending on the province or territory of delivery.
Certain numismatic items may qualify as tax-exempt under Canadian tax legislation. When applicable, eligible exemptions will automatically be reflected during checkout.
Applicable taxes may also be applied to shipping and handling charges in accordance with Canadian law.
CoinsFlip does not charge Canadian sales taxes on orders shipped outside Canada. However, international buyers remain responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees imposed by their local authorities.
CoinsFlip reserves the right to update tax policies in accordance with changes to Canadian tax legislation.
